Charge Batches / Case Holds Tab


Overview

The Case Holds tab is used to manage (view, update) and complete Case Holds.

These case holds are created on the Case / Case & Claim Holds tab.

How to Get Here?

From the Home Page:From the Menus:Via Shortcut Keys:
  1. Click Charge Batches from the Manage list.
  2. Click the Case Holds tab.
  1. Open the Manage menu and select Charge Batches.
  2. Click the Case Holds tab.
  1. Press [Alt] + [M] + [C].
  2. Click the Case Holds tab.

Case Status

Case Hold Reason Section


Case Hold Reason

YesDesignation or reason for the Case Hold. The drop down list of options are based on Case Hold Reasons created and associated with the Practice on the Case Hold Reasons page.
Hold Reason Status

The current status of the Claim Hold. The options include: Open and Complete.

The Hold Reason Status is automatically changed to Closed once the case is submitted. No additional changes can be made to the Case Hold at this point.
Assigned User

List of options are users associated with the Practice.

Step-By-Step Guides

Search[Alt] + [S]

To find a case hold.

  1. Click Search. The Search Criteria window opens.
  2. Enter search criteria.
  3. Click OK.
Remove Hold[Alt] + [D]

To remove a case hold on the selected case.

  1. Select the case to remove the Case Hold.
  2. Click Remove Hold. The Remove Case Hold confirmation window opens.
  3. Click Yes to remove the Case Hold. The hold on the case is removed.

All Case Hold Reasons must have a status of Complete before the Case Hold can be removed.


Submit[Alt] + [D]

To submit a case(s) once all case holds have been removed.

View Attach[Alt] + [W]To view an attachment.
  1. Select a Case Hold to view the associated case's image batch image.
  2. Click View Attach. The associated image batch displays.
View Case[Alt] + [V]To view the associated case.
  1. Select a Case Hold to view the associated case.
  2. Click View Case. The associated Case: [ID] page opens.
Case Hold Reason Section 



Create[Alt] + [C]

To add a Case Hold Reason to the case.


Reassign[Alt] + [R]

To reassign a Case Hold.

  1. Select a Case Hold line item to reassign.

    More than one Case Hold can be selected and reassigned to the same user simultaneously.

  2. Click Reassign. The Reassign Case Holds window opens.
  3. Open the Reassign Case Hold To drop down list and select the new user.

    Users in the drop down list are only those that have been associated with the Practice.
  4. Click Save.
Complete[Alt] + [O]To mark a Case Hold complete.
  1. Select the Case Hold to complete.
  2. Click Complete. The Complete Case Hold Reasons confirmation window opens.
  3. Click Yes to confirm and complete the Case Hold. The Case Hold Status is updated to Complete.
Notes Section 

Add[Alt] + [A]To add a note to a Case Hold.
  1. Click Add. The Case Hold Reason Note window opens.
  2. Enter the Note text.
  3. Click Save.
