Creating Charge Batches
Complete this task to create a charge batch.
You must create a charge batch before cases can be created.
Step-By-Step Guide

1 | From the Charge Batches > Batches tab, click Create (or press [Alt] + C). The Create Charge Batch window opens. |

2 | Open the Practice drop down list and select the practice for which the charge batch will be created. | If the user only has one practice, it auto-populates the Practice field and does not have to be selected. |
3 | Enter the total number of cases to be included in the charge batch in the Expected Case Count field. |

4 | (Optional) Enter or select the date of service to use as the date of service for all cases in the charge batch in the Date of Service field. |

5 | (Optional) Open the Facility drop down list to select the facility to use for all cases in the charge batch. |

6 | (Optional) Enter or select the date to use as the Accounting Date for all cases in the charge batch. | If your practice is configured for accounting dates, the Accounting Date option is shown. If your practice is not configured for accounting dates, the Accounting Date option is not available. The Accounting Date can be up to 14 days in the future. |
7 | Click OK. The Charge Batch / Charge Batch Information tab opens. |

8 | (Optional) Enter the number of expected procedures to be included in the charge batch in the Expected Proc Count field. |

9 | (Optional) Enter or select the date to use as the Charge Received date for all cases in the charge batch. |

10 | (Optional) Enter any additional information about the charge batch in the Description field. |

11 | Add cases to the charge batch by creating them. |

12 | When finished, click Save. |
